TARGET

Accessible by design.

JMNS is being developed with the aim of aligning its public website with WCAG 2.2 Level AA principles where applicable. This is a development target and is not presented as a formal certification of conformance.

IMPLEMENTATION

Core accessibility practices.

The site is intended to support keyboard navigation, meaningful heading structure, readable contrast, responsive layouts, descriptive link text, appropriate form labels and alternative text for informative images.

Accessibility will also be considered when article HTML, figures, supplementary material and manuscript-management interfaces are added.

REVIEW

Testing before public launch.

A technical accessibility review will be completed after the public deployment environment is established. Identified barriers will be prioritised according to their impact on access to journal content and essential functions.

FEEDBACK

Accessibility contact.

Contact details will be added before launch.

The dedicated JMNS contact route will be used for reporting accessibility barriers or requesting information in an alternative accessible format when reasonably possible.
