PRESERVATION & ARCHIVING
Keeping the scholarly record accessible.
JMNS is building preservation into the publication workflow rather than relying on the public website alone.
PRESERVATION STANDARD
More than a website backup.
Each Version of Record is planned to have a permanent article landing page with consistent HTML, PDF, JATS XML, figures, supplementary files and bibliographic metadata. Material post-publication changes will remain visible through linked notices rather than silent replacement.
CONTINUITY
Persistent identifiers and recoverable files.
Once DOI infrastructure is active, DOI metadata will be maintained through future domain or infrastructure changes. JMNS will also maintain recoverable copies of published article files and the historical publication record.
SERVICE STATUS
External preservation service: selection in progress.
No provider is claimed before activation.
The selected preservation network or archive will be named here only after technical onboarding or a formal agreement has been completed.
